Hand-harvested grapes from different zones of Gualtallary (high, central, and low) showcase the diversity of this unique terroir in every bottle. These are straightforward, honest, austere, and vertical wines with the distinct minerality of calcareous soils. Fermented with native yeasts and vinified in concrete, they are crafted with the clear intention of delivering vibrant, authentic wines.

The Essence of Terroir

Gran Terroir

These wines come from a single vineyard located in the high central sector of Gualtallary, known as Albo. The stony soil is rich in calcium carbonate and granite. Aged for 12 months in third-use or older French oak barrels, the aim is not to dominate with wood but to impart the finesse and elegance of oak in a subtle manner.

These single-vineyard wines reflect the current trends in winemaking, emphasizing the purity of each variety while preserving the vibrant expression of the terroir. At Zorzal, we were pioneers in Latin America in using concrete eggs made in Argentina. The entire Eggo line is aged in these innovative vessels.
