Gran Terroir Cabernet Sauvignon
"Finesse that captivates"
Our 'Gran Terroir' come from vineyards planted at altitude which give life to complex and aromatic wines, given the thermal difference that occurs between day and night during maturation. Its special character, complexity and structure are given by aging in French and American oak barrels.
Tasting notes:
Zorzal Gran Terroir Cabernet Sauvignon is intense red in color with violet hues, with an intense aroma with mineral notes, oregano, flowers and an excellent balanced contribution of lactic aromas. Taste: Fresh and lively, with textured tannins. Its finish is long and sweet.
Features
Espaldero Alto, 15 years old, located in Gualtallary, Tupungato, at 1,350 meters above sea level. The soil is stony – sandy. In this area, during the grape ripening season, we have thermal amplitudes that range between 15-18°C difference between day and night.
- Vinification: A cold maceration for 15 days is carried out to intensify the fresh fruit and then it is fermented with indigenous yeasts with a maximum of 32°C. Aging: 10 to 12 months in French oak barrels.
- Harvest: By hand in 16 kg boxes. 50% of the stalk is vatted along with the skins and seeds.
- Region: Gualtallary, Tupungato, Valle de Uco.
